As a teenager, I looked for a career that would allow me to care for people from all walks of life, and that desire led me to medicine.What I find most rewarding today is building trusting relationships with my patients, which allows me to positively impact their health and quality of life. As a new practitioner and committed lifelong learner, I am focused on continuing to expand and enhance my knowledge and skills in surgical and non‑surgical orthopedics.It is important to me that provider–patient relationships are partnerships built on efficient, honest and open communication. I want my patients to feel that their concerns, challenges and personal goals are heard, valued and used to guide their treatment plans.In 2022, I joined a medical mission team providing care to the Latin American refugee population in Costa Rica along the Nicaraguan border. During this mission, I cared for people facing significant cultural, social and environmental disparities. This experience, so different from modern American medicine, deepened my understanding and respect for diverse patient backgrounds.Outside of medicine, I enjoy baking, camping and spending quality time with family and friends.
